How to improve EMM operational efficiency with AI Chatbots

In the digital world, people are tech-savvy and expect more hi-tech solutions from the brands they are associated with. Brands, in order to satisfy their customers and to compete in the business space, are heading towards adoption of innovative technologies such as Artificial intelligence, Deep learning, IoT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based chatbots these days.

AI is expected to become the focal point among all innovative technologies. As per Gartner report, by 2019, AI platform services will cannibalize revenues for 30% of market leading companies. So, companies have no option except to implement AI in their solutions.

AI chatbot can help customers to get quick responses for their queries, round the clock, in most effective ways. Initially, these chatbots were designed with the intent to deal with the odd customer care conversation. But, as the chatbots become more advanced, they become a crucial part in internal and external strategies of enterprises. Businesses with the help of chatbots can automate processes, empower team and save costs.

AI chatbots are empowered with the ability to engage with the customers in a natural and friendly manner, as humans. They have capabilities to handle customer queries faster than a human. Also, they are easy to build and are very cost efficient.

As per Forrester survey 57% of firms globally are using chatbots or plan to begin doing so in 2017. Some of examples are hotel Marriott International, HDFC bank and Taco bell.

The mobility world has also been affected by the growing popularity of AI. And, as the EMM market is getting saturated, EMM vendors are also trying to innovate in order to capture market share. So far, a few EMM vendors have implemented AI in their products. However, none of them have yet tried AI chatbot for their solution except 42Gears Mobility System.

Role of AI chatbots in EMM solutions:

Everyone is well aware of EMM’s capability to remotely manage devices, push app updates, locate devices and wipe out apps and devices remotely. To perform EMM tasks, admin requires to login through desktops, tablets and laptops. But, what if they can locate a device or get alerts on devices lost via their smartphones on Skype, while sitting at home? Implementing chatbots allows an EMM tool to perform tasks from their smartphone anywhere, either at work or at home without logging in to MDM console.

Let’s explore in details how AI chatbots are the future of EMM:

1. Simplifying the process of EMM interaction

Traditionally, an admin has to follow a complex workflow like creating profiles and policies, setting up notification alerts, generating reports, querying device information, and acting based upon this information. For example- finding out the current location of device and if the device is at an unsecured location, the admin can issue a wipe command by logging in to MDM console, for which he requires a desktop or laptop. Whereas, with chatbot, a command can be sent from smartphone via Skype or Slack to wipe the device by just speaking or typing an instruction.

The user interface of chatbot has also become simpler than traditional EMM. Earlier, it was a little complicated and required lots of stages to cross in order to find out the answer of a particular question. For example, in order to locate a particular device, an admin needs to login, then search devices, and then select the device on information is required. But, through chatbot, a device can be located immediately by using the device name through voice command.

2. AI chatbot based alert system

Conventionally, EMM systems have used e-mail based alerts to send an alert message to admin if device is showing low battery status and any other event happens which requires admin attention. To take corrective action, the admin will  be required to login on MDM via desktop or laptop and then send a command to shutdown the device.

Whereas, with AI chatbot based alert system, the admin can immediately send voice command on his phone via Skype or Slack to shutdown the device from anywhere.

3. Integration with Slack and Skype

AI chatbot can be integrated with Slack or Skype. Like any other contacts, users can add MDM chatbot in their contact list and from their smartphone, via Skype or Slack, they can manage all the MDM functionalities from anywhere in the world.

4.  Intelligent learning and responsiveness

Chatbot captures all queries in its database and uses Natural Language Processor (NLP) to convert natural language sentences into MDM commands. , This way, the chatbot keeps on learning and improving user experience over time.

Conclusion

So far, IT admins have faced many challenges to manage EMM, such as to query for information, find relevant data, or to pull a report, they have to follow multiple steps which causes delay in taking quick actions. AI chatbot has provided wings to the EMM system to touch new heights in the mobility world. It is a gamechanger for enterprise mobility.

42Gears Mobility System has pioneered the integration of AI into EMM solution, a virtual assistant chatbot, DeepThought for its SureMDM platform. It provides better user experience, improved productivity, easier access to information, quicker command execution due to the availability of voice and text- based command. Integration with Slack and Skype is simply taking the EMM to next level.
