The Zebra RFD40 is a high-performance UHF RFID sled designed to enhance inventory and asset tracking efficiency across retail, logistics, and warehousing environments. With a best-in-class read rate of over 1,300 tags per second and an extended read range of over 20 feet, the RFD40 offers rapid and accurate RFID tag capture. It is available in three models—Standard, Premium, and Premium Plus—providing flexible connectivity options including USB, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6 (on select models). The Premium Plus variant also integrates a 1D/2D barcode imager and NFC tap-to-pair functionality.

Designed for rugged use, the RFD40 features IP54 sealing and can withstand drops from up to 5 feet, making it suitable for tough work environments. It is powered by a 7,000 mAh battery and supports tool-free eConnex adaptors for seamless pairing with Zebra mobile computers like the TC21, TC52, or EC50. The RFD40 also includes onboard batch memory for offline tag storage, supporting up to 40,000 tags.
