SureLock has an inbuilt option to export and import lockdown configurations and settings for making the gruesome task of configuring multiple devices with identical settings quick and easy. Using this feature you can export or import settings to cloud or a file.

Export to File

If you want to configure multiple devices with identical SureLock Settings, use Export to File option to export the settings to a file which can be imported in other devices for configuration.

Export to Cloud

If you don't want to save the exported settings in an external storage device, use Export to Cloud option to export the settings to cloud.

To export settings to cloud, follow steps mentioned below:

  1. Access SureLock Settings
  2. On SureLock Admin Settings screen, tap on Import/Export Settings
  3. On Import/Export Settings screen, tap on Export to Cloud under Export Settings section
  4. On Export to Cloud screen, tap and select from the following options:
  • Export Settings To a New Cloud ID
  • Use Existing Cloud ID
    1. Tap on Export Settings To a New Cloud ID if you want to export the settings to a new Cloud ID
    2. Tap on Use Existing Cloud ID if you wish to export new settings to an existing Cloud ID

  • On successful export to cloud, a Cloud ID is generated which can be used to import the settings
  • Tap on Copy to Clipboard, if you wish to copy the Cloud ID or tap on Close to complete

 

Note: Cloud ID created will reflect in your Cloud ID History unless you manually clear it.

Import from File

Use Import from File option to import SureLock Settings from a file.

Import from Cloud

To import settings from cloud, follow steps mentioned below:

  1. Access SureLock Settings
  2. On SureLock Admin Settings screen, tap on Import/Export Settings
  3. On Import/Export Settings screen, tap on Import from Cloud under Import Settings section
  4. On Import from Cloud screen, enter the Cloud ID and tap on Import or select the Cloud ID

from the History

  1. On successful import, you will get a prompt that SureLock Settings were successfully Imported

Reset Settings

Use Reset Settings option to reset all settings in SureLock including Allowed Applications list.

Enable Automatic Import

Enable Automatic Import if you want SureLock to automatically import settings from a specified file or Cloud ID.

Auto Import From

Use Auto Import From option to specify a File or Cloud ID from where SureLock auto imports the settings.

Periodically Check

Use Periodically Check option to specify a time period cycle for SureLock to check for new settings to import.

Enable Scheduled Automatic Import

Enable this feature and set a Start At and End At time, if you want SureLock to import settings from File or Cloud between a given period of time.

Export Activation Code

When SureLock Settings is exported, by default the Activation Code is not included for security reasons. Hence, post you import SureLock Settings on a different device, SureLock activation is required.

Enable Export Activation Code if you want to export Activation Code in an encrypted form.
