You might have seen news about hacker assaults on companies like Microsoft, Zoom, and Twitter<\/a>. You might have wondered, are hacker threats more intense now than in the past? Or is it just my imagination?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not your imagination. The first half of 2020 has created a perfect storm of factors that make accountability hard, and make being a hacker easier and more lucrative than ever before. <\/div>\n\n\n\n

The source of this attack on accountability? The sudden rush of people taking on jobs from home, for three reasons. Let\u2019s look at them below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Office workers are not trained to do their jobs from home<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hundreds of millions worldwide have recently worked jobs from home when they would have otherwise gone into an office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In most cases, this was a sudden change. Office workers didn\u2019t have time to learn the ins and outs of data safety in a work-from-home context. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
