This integration will grant admins control over which software updates to push to devices over-the-air. In order to use SureMDM\u2019s Zebra LifeGuard OTA<\/b> functionality, your Zebra devices must be registered for Zebra LifeGuard<\/b> and enrolled under Android Enterprise<\/b> with the Device Owner<\/b> mode enabled. Please follow the steps outlined below to manage your Zebra devices: Part 1. Authorization and token generation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Part 2. Zebra apps installation and configuration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Part 3. Software update management using SureMDM<\/strong><\/p>\n To complete this part, the following two Zebra apps must be present on the Zebra devices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Follow the steps mentioned below to install these two apps on your Zebra devices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n1.<\/b> On SureMDM Home<\/b>, click Profile<\/b> > Android<\/b> > Application Policy<\/b> > Configure<\/b>. Tips<\/em><\/strong>: Use the <\/em>Tags <\/em><\/strong>option to find the device(s). All Zebra devices of a particular model will show up under a single tag named after the device model.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Once the policy is successfully applied on all devices, it takes around 24 hours for the status to reflect as Registered <\/strong>under the Device Grid<\/strong>\u2019s FOTA Registration Status<\/strong> column. If you want to check the status at any time, you can manually sync the devices by going to Account Settings <\/strong>> Firmware Updates <\/strong>> Zebra LifeGuard OTA<\/strong> > Sync Devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Zebra devices get tagged as soon as they are enrolled in SureMDM using Android Enterprise as a Device Owner, and start automatically reflecting under Tags named after their Device Model<\/strong>. This helps admins view and control similar devices from the central console. To start managing software updates for Zebra devices, follow the steps mentioned below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n1.<\/b> On SureMDM Home<\/b>, go to Tags<\/b>. Note<\/em><\/strong>: Zebra LifeGuard OTA can only be used to upgrade to the current software version on a given device. \n1.<\/b> Login to the SureMDM Web Console<\/b>.
\n2.<\/b> Click on the Settings<\/b> icon at the top right corner of the console.
\n3.<\/b> Go to Account Settings<\/b> > Firmware Updates<\/b> > Zebra LifeGuard OTA<\/b> > Authorize<\/b>.
\n4.<\/b> On the Zebra LifeGuard<\/b> portal, log in with your Zebra credentials and allow all of the permissions requested by Zebra LifeGuard. Click on the Activate<\/b> button.
\n5.<\/b> When the system successfully authorizes your login, it will generate a Device Token<\/b>. Save the device token information, as you will need it for Part 2. The page will display the following three options:

\n2.<\/b> Name the profile and click Add<\/b>.
\n3.<\/b> On the Select Application Source<\/b> prompt, click Play for Work<\/b>.
\n4.<\/b> On the Play Store<\/b> page, search for and select the Zebra Enrollment Manager<\/b> app.
\n5.<\/b> On the next prompt, under Action<\/b>, select Claim Device<\/b> and paste the Device Token<\/b> from Step No. 5 in Part 1 of these instructions. Select Save<\/b>.
\n5.<\/b> Now, search for and select the Zebra Common Transport Layer<\/b> app. Click Save<\/b> to complete.
\n6.<\/b> Go back to SureMDM Home<\/b>, select the Zebra device(s) and apply the policy.
\n\n\n\nPart 3. Software update management using SureMDM<\/strong>

\n2.<\/b> Under Tags<\/b>, devices will be categorized and grouped according to their device models.
\n3.<\/b> Select the desired Tag<\/b> and click on the Firmware Update<\/b> and History<\/b> icon.
\n4.<\/b> Under the Available Firmware Updates<\/b> tab on the Firmware Update and History<\/b> prompt, all available software updates will be listed with details such as release notes.
\n5.<\/b> Select the desired update and click Next<\/b> to apply.
\n6.<\/b> Once the software updates are pushed through SureMDM, you can use the Firmware Update History<\/b> tab to check the history of all the software updates done on a specific tag.
