New EMM feature in SureMDM <\/a>now allows you to perform a whole range of remote activities. A very important one being able to remotely install an application and configure its settings.<\/p>\n

SureFox<\/a>, the signature web kiosk application from 42Gears can be remotely installed on an iOS device and configured using just a few steps.<\/p>\n

To remotely install SureFox and configure its settings using SureMDM, follow below mentioned steps:<\/h5>\n

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Select the device from the Device List<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"SureMDM-Device-List-Select\"<\/p>\n

3. Once device selected, click on EMM<\/strong> on the top bar<\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-ios-emm\"<\/p>\n

4. On EMM<\/strong> page, select iOS<\/strong> and then Add<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"select-ios\"<\/p>\n

5. On iOS Profile<\/strong> page, click on Install Application Profile<\/strong> and then Configure<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"install-configure\"<\/p>\n

6. Next, click on Add <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"install-add\"<\/p>\n

7. On Install Application<\/strong> prompt, select the appropriate option Enterprise<\/strong> or App Store<\/strong> and search for SureFox<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-search\"<\/p>\n

8. Once SureFox<\/strong> is added, click on Configure<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-configure\"<\/p>\n

9. On Configure<\/strong> window, give Key<\/strong> as SettingsXML <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-xmlconfigure\"<\/p>\n

10. Copy Plist (download a copy of plist<\/a> here) and paste in Value<\/strong> textbox<\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-xml\"<\/p>\n

11. Make required changes and Save<\/strong><\/p>\n

12. Go back to SureMDM Home Screen<\/strong> and push the profile to the selected device using Apply<\/strong> option<\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-ios-apply\"<\/p>\n

To remotely configure SureFox if it is already installed, follow below mentioned steps:<\/h5>\n

1. Login to SureMDM Web Console<\/strong><\/p>\n

2. Select the device from the Device List<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"SureMDM-Device-List-Select\"<\/p>\n

3. Once device selected, click on EMM<\/strong> on the top bar<\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-ios-emm\"<\/p>\n

4. On EMM<\/strong> page, select iOS<\/strong> and then Add<\/strong><\/p>\n

5. On iOS Profile<\/strong> page, click on Configuration Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n

6. Next, click on Add<\/strong><\/p>\n

7. On Application Configuration<\/strong> prompt, select SureFox<\/strong> from App Name<\/strong> dropdown menu<\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-select-surefox\"<\/p>\n

8. Give Key<\/strong> as SettingsXML <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-selttings-xml\"<\/p>\n

9. Next, copy Plist provided in attachment and paste in Value<\/strong> textbox<\/p>\n

\"install-surefox-xml-code\"<\/p>\n

10. Make required changes<\/p>\n

11. Click on Save<\/strong> and push the profile to the selected device using Apply<\/strong> option on SureMDM Home Screen<\/strong><\/p>\n

This same process can be followed if you want to remotely configure or changes settings of any app using SureMDM. The only thing you need to make sure is that the app should have been installed using SureMDM’s Install Application Profile<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n
