This settings file could later be imported on&nbsp;any number of devices. What this means is an administrator can now configure and test his&nbsp;SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo configuration on one device. Once he is satisfied with the device lock down achieved and feels the configuration is ready for final field deployment, he can export this setting to a file and copy this settings file to his other devices and import it from within&nbsp;SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo. Entire lockdown configuration gets cloned on new devices, within seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Now we have taken&nbsp;SureLock, SureFox and SureVideo Import\/Export settings to another level by enabling Administrator to remotely change&nbsp;SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo&nbsp;configuration on devices in field without requiring any user intervention.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0040ff;\">SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo&nbsp;can now be configured to periodically look for new configurations from a path. This path can be:<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\"><strong>Import from file in the device<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; In this case, administrator can push new configuration files to the device remotely using some MDM solution (like&nbsp;<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\" href=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/blog\/2013\/02\/updating-surelock-and-surefox-settings-remotely-using-suremdm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0040ff;\">SureMDM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">) and SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo&nbsp;will pick up the new configuration from this file automatically<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Import from HTTP URL<\/strong><span>&nbsp;&#8211; In this case, administrator can just upload the new settings to his web server and SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo&nbsp;will download the new configuration directly from the website<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Import using Cloud ID<\/strong> &#8211;&nbsp;In this case,&nbsp;administrator can specify a Cloud ID from where the periodic check for setting import is to be done<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>In both methods, there is no user intervention required from the end-user. All&nbsp;<strong>SureLock<\/strong>\/<strong>SureFox<\/strong>&nbsp;devices, will detect the presence of a new configuration and apply it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0040ff;\">Following steps are required to configure&nbsp;SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo to periodically look for new configurations:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong>&nbsp;Goto&nbsp;<strong>SureLock<\/strong>\/<strong>SureFox<\/strong>&nbsp;Settings -&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Import\/Export Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/settings.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2785\" title=\"settings\" src=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/settings-1024x721.png\" alt=\"settings\" width=\"614\" height=\"433\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong>&nbsp;Under<strong>&nbsp;Automatic Import<\/strong>&nbsp;section, make sure&nbsp;<strong>Enable Automatic Import<\/strong>&nbsp;is checked<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/export_settings_periodic1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2787\" title=\"export_settings_periodic\" src=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/export_settings_periodic1-1024x721.png\" alt=\"export_settings_periodic\" width=\"614\" height=\"433\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. &nbsp;<\/strong>Tap on&nbsp;<strong>AutoImport From&nbsp;<\/strong>and select either <strong>From File<\/strong> or <strong>From Cloud<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4. <\/strong>If <strong>Import From File,<\/strong> tap on<strong> Automatic Import File, <\/strong>browse and&nbsp;select the file<\/p>\n<p><strong>5<\/strong>. If&nbsp;<strong>Import From Cloud<\/strong>,&nbsp;tap on<strong>&nbsp;Auto Import Cloud ID, &nbsp;<\/strong>enter a <strong>Cloud ID&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6.<\/strong>&nbsp;Next, tap on&nbsp;<strong>Periodic Check<\/strong>&nbsp;and enter the periodicity in minutes, with which you want&nbsp;SureLock\/SureFox\/SureVideo&nbsp;to poll for new settings<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/settings_periodic_check.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2789\" title=\"settings_periodic_check\" src=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/settings_periodic_check-1024x721.png\" alt=\"settings_periodic_check\" width=\"614\" height=\"433\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>7.<\/strong>&nbsp;Once complete,&nbsp;<strong>SureLock<\/strong>&nbsp;is all set to automatically update itself from your server whenever you put new settings there.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0040ff;\">In order to obtain the settings file from a&nbsp;Gold&nbsp;device follow the steps below<\/span><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Goto <strong>SureLock<\/strong>\/<strong>SureFox \/SureVideo Settings<\/strong> -&gt;<strong> Import<\/strong>\/<strong>Export Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/settings3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2797\" title=\"settings\" src=\"http:\/\/live-42gears-site.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/settings3-1024x721.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"433\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Under <strong>Export Settings<\/strong> section, tap on <strong>Export to File<\/strong>.
