Getting Started with SureMDM

Setup instructions for client device


Launch web browser on the device and go to - http://suremdm.42gears.com/getnix.aspx to download Nix agent

For Windows Mobile/CE Devices:
  1. Enter you Customer ID and select the device's OS version. Press Download button.
  2. This will download an exe file with a name "CUSTOMER_ID".exe.
  3. Launch this exe once it has been downloaded without renaming it. This will install and launch the device agent in background.
For Android Devices:
  1. Page automatically detects Android OS and redirects you to SureMDM download page in Android Marketplace
  2. Press Download button and install the Nix agent.
  3. Launch the app once it has been installed.
  4. Nix prompts you to enter your Customer ID. Enter the Customer ID sent to you in the mail during registration and press Register.

Accessing SureMDM Console

  1. Now access SureMDM web console from your desktop browser.
  2. Use the email-id and password registered with SureMDM for login.
  3. Once you are logged in, you can manage your devices

Approving Devices in SureMDM

  1. You can see your Unapproved Devices in the Unapproved list.
  2. Select the device and press Approve button at the top to approve it.
  3. Now device is all set to be controlled and managed from SureMDM.
